What is PEACEMAKERS FELLOWSHIP?


The term "Fellowship" is used to designate that social relationship existing among peacemakers, the Disciples of Christ who are regenerated members of the family of God and their cooperation in the work of the Kingdom of God. Fellowship posits as its prerequisite a likeness of nature tat transcends external and temporary differences. True fellowship can exist only among true peacemakers/disciples of Christ. Our definition of peacemaking includes the spiritual impoverishment of all human beings as a central to the restoration of right relationships with God, self, others and creation through Jesus Christ. There is a foundational unity among true peacemakers as evidenced by the following particulars:

The signs of PEACEMAKERS FELLOWSHIP:


1. Mutual love. Christ made the new commandment of love the test of peacemakers fellowship and discipleship (John 13:34 f; 15:12; I Corinthians 13)

4. Peacemakers Fellowship supports its minister (Philippians 1:3-6; 4:15)
5. A student peacemakers shares in the ministerial needs of teacher (Galatians 6:6)
6. Ministers recognize the cooperation of other in the work of God's Kingdom (II Corinthians 8:23 Galatians 2:9; Philemon 17; III John 5-8).
7. Peacemakers Fellowships (local churches) collectively help a needy 'Peacemakers Fellowship' (II Corinthians 8:4; 9:13)
8. Peacemakers spontaneously share their wealth with fellow peacemakers (Acts 2:44-45; 4:32)
9. Peacemakers assemble regularly gather for worship and edification (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:25)
10. Peacemakers pray for one another (Ephesians 6:18)
11. Peacemakers have fellowship with the Father. A peacemaker must walk in the light to enjoy this fellowship (I John 1:3,6)
12. Peacemakers have Fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God.( I Corinthians 1:9)
13. Peacemakers partake in the Lord's supper (I Corinthians 10:16, 21; Phil 3:10)
14. Peacemakers have fellowship with the Holy Spirit (II Corinthians 13:14, Phil 2:1-2)
15. Peacemakers eternal fellowship will be consummated in heaven's glory ( Ephesians 2:21 Revelation 21:1-4)
